Cooperation

Our core values are: trust, service provision, risk-oriented and collaboration. For example, we are in cyclical contact with representatives of all links in the logistics chain through the Customs Business Consultation (ODB) forum. Together with the business community, other enforcement agencies and the ministries for which we work, we discuss issues relating to the cross-border movement of goods within the EU. These can be subjects of an operational nature, such as changes in IT systems and implementation periods for legislation and regulations, knowledge development, but also themes with a more strategic content. Equality and mutual transparency form the basis of the dialogue.

Because the collaboration between Dutch Customs and the business community is so close, the Customs Business Consultation has the status of National Committee on Trade Facilitation for the Dutch government.
