In which country is my online store located?

If you buy from an online store outside the EU, you often pay additional costs, such as VAT, import duties and delivery costs. Therefore, first check where your store is located.

Inside or outside the EU

It is not always immediately clear where exactly your webshop is located. Because a Dutch-language webshop does not mean you are dealing with a webshop in the EU.

This is how you find the location of your webshop:

• Address details can often be found under ‘contact’ or, for instance, ‘about us’.
• Check the delivery time. Long delivery times may mean that your product does not come from your local area.
• Read online reviews about your webshop.
• Check the country code of the Internet address. For instance, amazon.co.uk is located outside the EU.
