Service interruptions: customs systems DMS, AGS and NCTS less accessible

Due to service interruptions, the customs systems DMS, AGS and NCTS recently have not been consistently available. We realise that these service interruptions have a large impact on your production and logistics processes. We put a lot of time and energy into providing proper support for logistics, with as little service interruptions as possible. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to live up to this recently, for which we apologize.

The causes were malfunctions within our applications and technical problems with the storage in the Tax Administration’s datacentre. We are working hard to identify what is causing the problems in the application and the storage. To minimize the risk of future service interruptions, we will make short-term arrangements with the Tax Administration and sharpen our internal quality procedures.

Improvements for the future

We are working on a digital emergency procedure. That should lead to more continuity within our logistics processes. We will assign additional capacity to this in the coming time. We will keep you up to date through the Customs Business Consultation (ODB) meetings (only available in Dutch).

Additionally, we are looking into facilitating online deployment. This means that the systems would remain available during scheduled maintenance, allowing you to continue to use them.
