Temporary stay in the Netherlands: exemption from bpm

Conditions
In order to be eligible for this exemption from bpm, you must fulfil the following conditions:
- You live outside the Netherlands.
- You buy a new passenger car or motorcycle in the Netherlands.
- At the end of your temporary stay here, you remove the passenger or motorcycle from the Netherlands permanently and have it re-registered in the vehicle registration system in another country.
The exemption does not apply to motor vehicle tax.
Please note!
If you receive exemption from bpm, the registration number issued by the RDW will have limited validity. If you or anyone else uses the car or motorcycle on the public road in the Netherlands after the period of validity has elapsed, bpm will have to be paid after all.Completion instruction
