Then you cannot apply for a postponement. File your tax return as soon as possible.

Do you have to file your tax return later?

Then you can apply for a postponement until the final date on which your tax return must be received by us. After that you can only file your tax return.

How to apply for postponement

Follow the 4 steps:

Step 1: Download

Download the tax return postponement form.

Download postponement form (only available in Dutch)

Step 2: Fill in and print

Fill in the postponement form on your computer and print it out.

Step 3: Signing

Sign the postponement form.

Step 4: Send

Send the form by post to the address on the form.

Or call the Tax Information Line for non-resident tax issues. Please keep your citizen service number (bsn in Dutch) ready, because that will speed up the process.

In the case of a payable assessment, you pay interest on tax

If we impose a payable assessment on you after 1 July 2024, you will pay 7.5% interest on it as of 1 July.
