The Tax and Customs Administration is part of the Ministry of Finance. The organisational structure of the Tax and Customs Administration include:
FIOD
Most people and businesses correctly discharge their tax obligations and therefore never come across the Fiscal Information and Investigation Service (Fiscale inlichtingen- en opsporingsdienst, FIOD).
Central Office
Levying, collection, supervision, detection and monitoring are the core duties of the tax and customs regions of the Tax and Customs Administration.
Facilities Centres
To ensure that all its duties are performed properly, the Tax and Customs Administration has 3 facilities centres.
TaxLine
The TaxLine is the unit of the Tax and Customs Administration that private individuals and entrepreneurs can contact with questions about, for instance, tax returns, national insurance contributions and benefits.
Tax and Customs Administration
The more than 30,000 staff members of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration are responsible for a wide range of activities, but are best known for levying and collecting taxes and national insurance contributions.
