Transport by sea

The simplifications in Community transit by sea concern the forms to be used and the procedure upon discharge. There are two simplifications with respect to Community transport by sea:

• Aanvraag Vergunning vereenvoudigde procedure voor het vervoer van goederen over zee (niveau 1) (simplified procedure level 1- only available in Dutch): in this case, the shipping manifest serves as the Community transit declaration
• Aanvraag Vergunning vereenvoudigde procedure voor het vervoer van goederen over zee (niveau 2) (simplified procedure level 2 - only available in Dutch): if the shipping company or its representative possesses an authorisation to operate a scheduled service, you can use one manifest to declare goods of different status

The use of ordinary Community transit declarations for Community transit by sea remains allowed, for that matter.
